Andrew Aversa, CEO of Impact Soundworks, recently announced a significant expansion of his company through the acquisition of Red Room Audio (RRA), a virtual instrument developer established in 2017. This acquisition brings all 12 of RRA’s sample libraries under the Impact Soundworks umbrella, enhancing their already diverse collection with new complementary instruments. Notably, the addition includes a Bluegrass Fiddle, which pairs perfectly with Impact Soundworks’ existing bluegrass instruments like the mandolin and banjo.
The integration process was meticulous and customer-centric. Aversa personally ensured that 100% of RRA’s customers and orders were seamlessly migrated to Impact Soundworks’ e-commerce system. This task involved learning PHP and MySQL to develop the necessary tools for the migration, underscoring the hands-on approach taken to ensure a smooth transition. This effort included updates, crossgrades, and special deals to benefit the existing RRA customer base.
The response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive, with the acquisition proceeding without major issues. Aversa emphasized that in an industry often plagued by predatory or poorly managed mergers, the goal was to create a beneficial outcome for both customers and businesses. He believes this acquisition has achieved that balance, setting a positive example for future industry integrations.
This strategic move by Impact Soundworks not only broadens their product offerings but also reinforces their commitment to customer satisfaction and industry integrity.
